Reading Journal #6 Going Home to Work

SUMMARY:

Helene McQuade spend a lot of time driving to her office.After she had a kid she was trying to 

work at home.Nowadays people can work anywhere,not just at their office,such as telecommuting 

can have their own schedule to arrange their time.As the result,they will have more time to stay with 

their family.,but  sometimes they will feel isolated when they work at home. In some jobs,they may 

not allow to work at home,they have to stay in their working place. Employers can not allow people 

to work at home because they think the work efficiency will getting down. If the employers accept 

their staff to work at home, the company will have many advantages.Finally, telecommuting will let 

the society better. Working at home is the new way to think.At least, it will be less pollution.

REFLECTION:

 I think the benefits of telecommuting is great. Because if more people work at home, there will be fewer cars on the highways.There will be less gasolin used and less polution.
