Reading Journal #4 "Predicting Earthquakes"

SUMMARY:

Earthquake research is happening all over the world. A major earthquake occurs in Tokai roughly every century. Scientists believe that "per-slip"theory can help predict earthquakes. Data supportig "per-slip"theory was found in Parkfield. So efforts to predict when an earthquake will happen.

REFLECTION:

Although the earthquake is still to come fully can predict it. But before the earthquake there is some sign of earth. May 12, 2008 China wenchuan earthquake happened. When situation is deadly. After the earthquake, some earthquake experts tell people observe some slight change. They make people vigilant and prevent earthquake bring people on economic and physical damage.

Human senses can directly perceive to earthquake precursor. More common are: well water shot up steep fall, color change stale, and turn spend bubbling, temperature lift, and water in a sudden change in the flow, the animals of the abnormal behavior, the imminent before the sound and the light, etc.

So when people see these slight change to alert see if that is the earthquake precursor.
